As many of you have heard the
Western States 100 Endurance Run which was scheduled for June 28th was
cancelled due to: (1) unsafe air quality caused by fires in the northern
California region, and (2) the potential for two fires to possibly reach some
portions of the Western States Trail.
The Tevis Ride management
wants you to know that we are continuing with all pre-ride preparations
for the July 19th 2008 Tevis Cup Ride. We are in constant
communication with the US Forest Service, California State Parks and other
authorities associated with the Western States Trail. At this time we
have not received any information that would alter our plans for Tevis Cup Ride
scheduled for July 19th. That said, we want you to know that if an
unforeseen change should occur that would impact the scheduled ride we would
immediately post that information to this website and would directly contact
all participants.
We look forward to hosting all
participants, their crews, and spectators to the 2008 Tevis Cup Ride on July
19th.
